Haha I'm so smug now :p haha. Today's game went So much better than expected. It was reallly fun despite the entire team's unbonded-ness, unfitness (well, with the exclusion of some people) and rustiness. I think KGS was rusty too but anyway, what matters is, I think we've got a good chance this year. Gee told me that other than the plate, there's the national CUP which is better than the plate. We've got to get through this 7-aside tournament (which I thought was just a small little side comp last year) in order to qualify and well, after we've all brushed up and got to know each other better, I think that we've got a VERY good chance of winning/getting very very far. So what if we don't have last year's year11s/sec4s? We thought today would be SO bad cos we don't have the best players in our team but turns out, it doesn't really matter. It's as if there was this HUGE invisible pressure on us (or, me at least) to match up that we/I ended up getting nowhere. So what if we're still training with them. What matters is that whatever we do won't affect them cos we aren't in the same team/division anymore. (People here simply don't care if you're not in their team/division.) & automatically, the pressure's lifted almost completely. It's SO much easier to play well when you're enjoying yourself and I'm grateful for that. Today was really unexpected. There were unpleasant things happenning during some parts of the day but whatever. Today. Was. Perfect. Just because there's this thing telling me that whatever happens, everything's going to be A-OKAY.
